Tear-Aid Patches:

Providing the instructions are carefully followed . . .

First check the Product Repair List to see if you need Type A or Type B.
Before proceeding, make sure the area is completely clean and dry.
Keep Tear-Aid out of children’s reach.

Tears and holes in the centre of the material:

Use the alcohol patch to thoroughly clean the area surrounding the tear/hole. Make sure the area is completely dry before proceeding.
For optimal adhesion, trim the Tear-Aid patch to the required size allowing at least 2.5cm on each side of the tear/hole.
Trim each corner of the patch as rounded corners are less likely to lift.
Gently stretch the patch and remove about 1cm of the backing paper.
Ensure you are working on a flat surface when applying the patch.
With the adhesive side facing the material, remove the remaining backing paper while slowly applying the patch over the damaged area.
Press the patch firmly in place after it has been applied.

Tears and holes on the edge of the material:

Use the alcohol patch to thoroughly clean the area surrounding the tear/hole. Make sure the area is completely dry before proceeding.
For optimal adhesion, trim the Tear-Aid patch to the required size allowing at least 2.5cm on each side of the tear/hole.
Apply the patch to the outside of the material. Turn the material over so that the adhesive side is facing up.
Position the nylon reinforcement filament tightly against the edge of the material.
Fold over the remainder of the patch encasing the nylon reinforcement filament.
Apply a secondary patch to the other side of the material for extra strength.
Press the patch firmly in place after it has been applied.
